Dual Degree Engineering Program
In addition to Doane’s BS in Engineering major, the dual degree program allows a student to pursue special admission to discipline-specific engineering degrees at our affiliated institutions. Typically, students spend 3 years at Doane and 2 years at either Washington University in St. Louis or Columbia University to earn two bachelor’s degrees. Students can also add one more year to also add a master’s degree at WashU in a 3-3 option. For more details, visit WashU’s Dual Degree Program or Columbia’s Combined Plan.
The Doane Difference
Practical
A focus on practice-based learning, particularly through service projects, allows students more opportunities to apply classroom knowledge to solving problems in the real world.
Personal
Work one-on-one with experienced faculty who care about each student's individual success in the program.
Opportunities
Students are actively involved outside the classroom which enriches their educational experience and develops them into a well-rounded leader.
